The Molecular Biosciences Center (MBC), established in 2006, is a core research facility at Baylor University in Waco, Texas dedicated to enabling, enhancing, expanding, and advancing molecular bioscience research across disciplines.
The MBC provides researchers access to a robust suite of state-of-the-art technologies, including real-time PCR/PCR, flow cytometry and cell sorting, live-cell imaging, multimode microplate reading, DNA/RNA/protein analysis, high-speed and ultracentrifugation, lyophilization, and BSL-1 and BSL-2 cell culture facilities. Advanced biomolecular imaging and analysis platforms housed within the MBC allow researchers to generate high-quality fluorescence (including multi-fluorescence), phosphorimaging, and chemiluminescence digital images. The center also supports a wide range of additional techniques through specialized minor equipment and instrumentation.
